Kitchen Refresh

A fresh palette, warm terracotta tile, and a simple brass hardware give this kitchen a softer, more cohesive feel while retaining the existing cabinetry, granite countertops and wood floors.

Working with Existing Materials

The existing kitchen had a practical layout, solid cabinetry, and granite countertops worth keeping. The brown granite was typical of earl 2000s kitchens, but its warm tones became the starting point for the refresh.

We chose unglazed terracotta tile for its natural color variation and the way its uneven surface catches the light and creates soft shadows.

Farrow & Ball cabinet colors give the granite a quieter backdrop, allowing its pattern to work comfortably with other finishes. Simple brass hardware completes the update.
